1. Start up dans preperation

Before starting to use the Rotoweld, be sure that the spool you intend to use can be welded by the Rotoweld.

There are two major limitations to be taken into account:

  • Pass Line:
    • The maximum length between the axis of the chuck and the rail of the the rotoweld is 65” (1.65 m).
    • No spool shall be longer when their axis is perpendicular to the chuck axis while welding.

  • Torch Clearance:
    • The distance between the welding torch and any element of the spool shall be at least 1” (25 mm).
    • This distance is critical when welding return bends or flange connected to a 90° elbow for example.
    • If this clearance is not respected, the spool will enter in collision with the arm during welding and may damage the Rotoweld.

1.Turn the main power switch ON. It is located on the back of the main rotator.

2. Turn the control station ON by turning the key to the right.

3. Once ON, the control panel screen displays indicating that calibration of the several arm axis is needed.

4. Start calibration, turning the Torch button to the right (UP) and hold it until the indications are replaced by.

5. The Rotoweld will switch automatically to the idle mode once calibration is completed.
